March 2026: The Last Pastor of Pannkoi Village

2,000 villagers. 500 families. And only one small church to win them to Jesus. Could you imagine growing up in a village like that?

This is the treacherous spiritual terrain of Pannkoi Village, Thailand, where our newest partner is shining Jesus’s light despite strong resistance.

Other ministers quit on the village, exhausted by its spiritual hardness.

But slowly and surely, God is using Pastor Khamrak to melt stony hearts and carve rivers in the wilderness through the good news, prayer, and neighborly love. This is his story.

The Addict Son of a Soul-Winning Mom

When God saved Khamrak’s mother, she couldn’t keep quiet about Jesus’s good news.

Soon, she led one family to the Lord, then another. She was hosting a move of God right in her living room. The problem—it never seemed to touch her son.

Satan had chained Khamrak’s heart with addictions to drugs and alcohol, and nothing seemed to shatter hell’s grip.

Heartbroken by her son’s lost condition, she challenged Khamrak to study at David’s Bible school in Chiang Rai. In 2011, he took the dare—and Jesus set him free and turned his whole life inside out.

He left Bible school with a new heart, a new passion for God, and within a few years, a new calling to win his unreached village for Christ. Neither he nor his home village would ever be the same.

Ten Years of Harvest in Challenging Pannkoi Village

Khamrak has pastored Pannkoi for ten years. In that time, he’s…

  • preached the good news to hundreds,
  • ministered healing and deliverance to many,
  • equipped youth to share Jesus’s good news in Thailand’s bustling universities,
  • and led about 80 villagers (17 families!) into thriving relationships with Jesus.

This is a beautiful harvest for such difficult spiritual terrain.

Remember—others tried to evangelize Pannkoi village, but quit, unable to endure the challenge.

Pastor Khamrak has patiently persevered ten years of grueling ministry—and as a result, 80 new believers are now thriving in Jesus who previously had almost no chance at knowing the true God.

The work is gradual but sure; God is slowly breaking Pannkoi’s prejudice against the good news. Here’s a story from one of the transformed families.

How Jesus Closed Their Baby’s Wounds

Their first day as parents felt like a dream. What a joy to finally hold their baby boy in their arms!

But soon, they discovered his condition—a skin disease that left him constantly itching and agitated. From then on, most days felt like nightmares.

The boy’s body was covered with rashes. His sores often tore into painful, bloody wounds. The parents sought healing in doctors’ visits and skin ointments—but nothing stopped the itching. After one brutal year of suffering, they had no clue where to run. Finally, they asked a question most Thais never dare to ask.

Could Jesus—‘that foreigner Westerner God’—heal what no doctor or ritual could?

The dad saw David and Khamrak praying over the ministry’s new land. Determined, he mustered his strength and approached them, child in arms.

“Excuse me…will you pray for my son?”

Pressed for time, David and Khamrak didn’t pray for long. They didn’t even ask about his condition.

David held the baby in his arms and called on God, proclaiming the blood of Jesus.

They said their goodbyes—to-do list in mind—and went their separate ways.

The parents would never forget what happened the next day.

When they checked their boy’s skin, they realized his once bloodied open wounds had begun to dry!

They couldn’t believe their eyes. Jesus was healing their boy!

The miraculous work continued and the disease subsided more each day.

Within one week, the baby was fully healed and finally able to enjoy infancy as God planned—safe, healthy, and at peace in the arms of his parents. Praise God!

How Jesus Closed Their Baby’s Wounds

When David returned to Pannkoi, the boy’s father told him the amazing story, asking, “Can I be baptized and receive Christ?” Soon Khamrak won mom to the Lord, too…

Stunned by Jesus’s miraculous work, both of their extended families ran to the Savior—four entire households. Today, that child is eight years old, the family plays an active role in the church, and they’ve boldly shared their testimony with their lost neighbors.

We say it often because it’s worth repeating—this is what happens when we partner in God’s harvest. Through your prayers and support, the 10/40 Window’s hope-starved souls are encountering Jesus and receiving healing, freedom, salvation, and new life through the cross!

Your prayers and gifts are never wasted; God aims them like arrows across oceans to thwart Satan’s plans, shatter every stronghold, and liberate the lost into friendship with Jesus. Let’s remember their faces and stories each time we kneel to pray, open our mouths to share, or open our hearts to give.

The New Youth Harvest Underway in Pannkoi

The Pannkoi harvest is far from over. Recently, David began bringing students from the Pioneer Missionary Training Center (PMTC) to Pannkoi to reach the next generation.

Twice this year, the youth lodged for several days to host soccer games, share meals, build trusting friendships, and share Jesus’s good news. At their first game, only 6 teens showed. By their last, 37 joined the fun—and many lingered afterward to share dinner, hang out, and hear salvation testimonies from the PMTC students. The harvest remains underway—but many Pannkoi teens are open and ready to hear about the Savior who died to rescue them and adopt them into His family.

Which makes us wonder—what will Pannkoi village look like in another ten years?

Just think—if the church’s current growth holds, 160 Pannkoi villagers will have joined God’s family by 2036.

It’s not hard to imagine.

Between your prayers, Khamrak’s faithful ministry, and the PMTC’s new youth outreach, God is transforming Pannkoi village from unreached to reached—one soul at a time.

Thanks for playing your role in winning them to Jesus.

A Missionary Memo: The 100 Village Vision

Let’s end with a missionary memo from India that ignited our hearts with praise. This memo shares about Pastor U., an Indian church planter with a striking vision—to share Jesus in 100 villages.

The church needs more genuine Christian visionaries like Pastor U. if we want to finally disciple India’s over 2,000 unreached people groups! Here’s what U.’s pastor wrote:

Brothers and sisters, this is what the Great Commission is all about!

Jesus said, “Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled” (Luke 14:23). Together, we’re proclaiming Jesus in some of the world’s darkest places—and Jesus is calling hundreds “out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9).

We can’t all go in person, but make no mistake—God is using our teamwork to win “a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues” (Revelation 7:9).

A Final Encouragement from Brian

Thank you for making these testimonies possible!

Together, let’s lift our eyes, look to the fields, and keep our hands to the plow. God is able to do “exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20). Let’s trust Him, seek His guidance, and fulfill the Great Commission! Amen.
