Civil wars. Earthquakes. Scarce access to the good news. These are just several of the back-breaking crises Burma’s citizens face every day. Still, God is moving in Burma, revealing Jesus’s hope, saving the lost, and igniting His church as radiant witnesses. In this letter, we share two stories of how God has used you to transform lives in tumultuous Burma.
Fifty-Three Unreached Villagers Receive Christ in Burma
The families of an unreached village lived closed off to the gospel for generations. Burdened by decades of Buddhism, they felt hopeless, dejected, and weary of manmade religion. Many felt so starved for hope and clarity that they stopped practicing Buddhism altogether. Little did they know that soon Jesus would fulfill their search for meaning and truth.
Into this darkness walked two native missionaries radiating God’s love through contagious smiles. Led by the Holy Spirit, Pastor Ch. and Evangelist A. warmly engaged the villagers, developed friendships, and welcomed all to hear good news about God’s forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life. The curious villagers eagerly gathered to hear about this Jesus for the first time. Could He be the hope they had longed for? Could there be a God who truly cares?
Ch. and A. shared God’s good news—and what happened next will change the village’s destiny forever. Fifty-three people surrendered to Jesus, exchanging their sin for God’s forgiveness and new life. Now, they gather weekly to celebrate their Savior in a small village church constructed with your generous donations.

How You Rescued Burma’s Earthquake Victims
On March 28th, a 7.7 earthquake rocked Burma, destroying cities and killing at least 3,300 people. Thousands of Burmese families were left injured, displaced, bereaved, and starving for hope. With your help, our partners offered emergency relief daily for six weeks, saving lives, distributing tons of food, water, tarps, mosquito nets, supplies, and emergency funds—and, most importantly, sharing Jesus’s unshakeable hope with countless lives. Many hearts opened wide to receive the good news after losing their homes and earthly possessions. You can only imagine how thankful they feel for your generosity!
Here’s a story that moved us to the depths. One day, P. and his team heard the cries of a baby buried beneath the rubble. Compelled by God’s compassion, they followed the desperate screams until they found and rescued a fifteen-day-old girl from the wreckage. Tragically, the mother had been crushed to death—but with your help, God granted this child a second chance at life and placed her with a new family who loves her. P. also left the family with funds to provide for her care. So many sad stories have emerged from this tragedy, but we praise God for shining His light in the darkness through Pastor P. and his friends. Truly, together we’re saving lives and leaving ripples in eternity.
Pastor P. and his family served for several years as indigenous missionaries from Thailand. Unfortunately, their rented home in Burma became unlivable after the earthquake, so they’ve returned to Thailand to focus on reaching Burmese refugees. Please pray for them in this new season of ministry.
