I’ve always seen Christmas as an opportunity to reach people of all ages with the gospel. I was only 23 years old when we formed Message Ministries Inc. in 1978—and even then, we scheduled many Christmas outreaches to offer Jesus’ love to the hurting. In 2007, we relaunched the ministry as a 501c3 missions non-profit and began to share God’s hope through this outreach we started called the Christmas Blessing Project (CBP).
Every year, Message Ministries & Missions offers the gift of peace in Jesus Christ to hungry souls around the world through CBP. We’re preparing to give Christmas blessings to needy people in Cambodia, China, India, Laos, Myanmar, Peru, and Thailand — and we expect to hear stories of many touched lives, just like we do every year.
Here’s how these outreaches work:
1. Donors like you sponsor a child’s gift. A gift in third-world areas costs about as much as a cup of coffee in America — $5. Donation is easy. Just follow the directions at the bottom of the letter.
2. Message Ministries distributes your donation to evangelical ministry partners around the world — most of these locations are where few know Christ in the 10/40 window.
3. Our ministry partners buy gifts appropriate to the needs they know. Some ministers give toys, others school supplies, others clothes, others meals, others more practical items — but all offer the gift of salvation in Jesus Christ.
4. Close to December 25th, our partners hold a Christmas celebration. They distribute gifts, offer Christmas treats, and share the eternal gospel of Jesus Christ.
5. For the remainder of the year, our ministry partners disciple many of these children and adults through personal relationships and various ministries.
This yearly blessing demonstrates God’s love to those who otherwise wouldn’t receive Christmas gifts—but even more importantly, it proclaims the gospel to many who otherwise would not hear.
