0000 Peru-Mission-Update-VSL-Mission-Team

I just returned from an amazing trip to Lima, Peru where we were blessed to host a team from the Victory School of Leadership from Oklahoma. This team of young adults came ready to serve, share, pray, worship, preach, witness and do all the things that accompany those that have their hearts set on God and His Eternal Kingdom.  We saw many give their hearts to the Lord and many healed during the street meetings, the eyeglass clinic outreaches and the VBS ministries. Also, we built a prefab home for a needy mother and her four children!

2015 - Seis de Abril - PeruWe were blessed to be assisted by the Corazones en Fuego young adult team in Lima, Peru.  This team of Peruvian youth and young adults not only does missions in Peru throughout the year…they are there to assist when mission teams visit Peru. We generally send two teams a year: the Cross Street team and one other.

As I approach the big 60 this year, I must say it is more than refreshing to work with youth and young adults who are focused on Jesus and their Heavenly Father, and are learning to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit.  There is so much to be done, and it is extremely important for the next generation to find their place in the Kingdom of God. It is equally important that we help provide opportunities for them to walk out their faith wherever they are. These kind of young adults believe in the Jesus of the Bible, that the Word of God is absolute truth, and that what Jesus taught, He truly meant.  How refreshing that is in these days, when so many seem to just take what they want from God’s Word and leave the rest as unimportant or unbelievable.

I truly am excited to see what God is going to do with young adults like the VSL Team, the Corazones en Fuego Team, and the Cross Street Team who are heading to Peru in June.
The team in front of the house built for Alejandrina and her 5 children in Pachacutec. Her husband left the family, and they were living in a borrowed shack, which they had to vacate. She works hard and is blessed to have this new house which is bigger than most that we build. It has four rooms! The looks on the families faces was a blessing to see as they walked through their new house, we prayed God’s blessing over them, dedicated their house to the Lord, and handed them the keys! Gloria a Dios!

0000 Jim-Randall-Vietnam-Update

Some of you may have followed the updates on Jim Randall’s trip to Vietnam on our private Facebook Prayer page. If you didn’t, here is a brief update!  Jim and Scott arrived in Hai Phong, Vietnam prepared to do Bible School Training in a Vietnamese Church, but the church was not registered with the government.  As they were starting the first teaching sessions, the police came to investigate why they were there. It turns out that someone in the community had called to report seeing Americans at the church.   Jim and Scott had to leave town immediately, and went to Hanoi. While in Hanoi, they needed to do some tourist activities for a few days, as they were in the country on a tourist visa, and the police were watching them.

After a few days, they went on to Saigon and were able to conduct the Bible Training there without any problems. Jim is back in Chiangmai, Thailand and will be sending a full report in time for the next newsletter.
