The Wellers are Going on a Mission to Peru! Here’s How You Can Partner With Us.

Over the last couple of years, I (Brian) have not traveled internationally except for one trip to Peru in November 2020 and my recent trip to Nicaragua. We are excited that the Lord is leading us to return to Peru in September to reconnect with the extraordinary leaders and churches we work with there. Anne and I plan to be there from September 2 to 13. JJ, Cynthia, Autumn, and William Weller for a whole month. We are praying for some beautiful, powerful times of ministry. Our goal is to help strengthen and encourage God’s people, reach the lost, and equip the churches for evangelism.

Over the last couple of years, without the expense of mission trips, we took on the support of more indigenous missionaries, pastors, and evangelists in the 10/40 window. We added five in India, one in Cambodia, one in Laos, one in Thailand, and three in Myanmar. Plus, we helped with many evangelistic outreaches and youth camps, built prefab homes, and more. We now send support to 33 indigenous ministers and ministries monthly. That includes 20 indigenous pastors, missionaries, and evangelists in the 10/40 window, including Cambodia, China, Laos, India, Myanmar, and Thailand. It also includes a children’s home in Laos, an orphanage in India, and a school in the slums outside of Delhi, India.

In Peru, we send monthly support to 8 children’s discipleship ministries, which also have a feeding program, and assist Pastor Fabian with prison ministry. We also sent funds to the countries we work in to provide tens of thousands of Share God’s Hope food bags throughout the pandemic. We give all praise, honor, and glory to God for all these things and, simultaneously, thank our mission supporters for their generosity, which made all these things possible. Gloria a Dios!

We praise God that by His grace and with your help, we haven’t missed sending monthly mission support to any of the above mentioned indigenous ministers and ministries. In order to do that, we did not put anything aside for “future” mission trips. Why? Because we believe our first and most important mission is to support indigenous ministry workers who are faithful to the call of God to reach the unreached in the 10/40 window! Also, to stand with strategic missionaries like Jim Randall, who train and equip these indigenous ministers.

Now that the doors are open and the Lord is sending us back out on the mission field, we trust the Lord for the extra expenses for our upcoming mission. God has provided for Anne and me, and we can pay for the privilege of going in Jesus’ name. We only ask for help for JJ, Cynthia, and their children, Autumn and William. They serve the Lord faithfully with Message Ministries, and the ministry has grown and expanded in new ways with their help. They will minister in Peru for a month (they will also spend time with Cynthia’s family). On their last mission to Peru earlier this year, they were a big encouragement to many churches as they preached God’s Word and did evangelistic outreaches. They minister so well together, and I know God will use them again wonderfully on this mission!

As you know, we generally only ask for help to support the indigenous ministries we work with around the world. However, we believe this trip to Peru will significantly be a boost to the ministers and churches in Peru. They need it after living through two extremely challenging years. With that in mind, we ask you to consider helping with two things.

#1 – Printing of 1,500 Pocket-size

Evangelistic Books (The Cure for Death)

Our book The Cure for Death presents the gospel in an easy-to-understand way and has been downloaded thousands of times for free in English and Spanish. The leaders in Peru have requested printed copies of this pocket-sized book JJ wrote a couple of years ago. We’ve had requests for 3,000 copies already! It started when eight churches sent us their requests for books which totaled 1,500 books. They will use the books to evangelize the people in their church neighborhood and nearby communities.

Then, the leader of the prison ministry in Huaral, where Pastor Fabian ministers, requested 1,500 books for the prison inmates, both men, and women. By faith, we ordered 1,500 books to use while we minister with the churches on our upcoming trip. We hope to order 1,500 more for the prison soon. In Peru, we can get these pocket-sized 80-page books printed for a mere $1. That means we can get 1,500 books for $1,500. We believe many will come to know the Lord as they read Cure for Death. The local churches will follow up, lead some to the Lord, and disciple the new believers.

#2 – Travel Expenses for JJ, Cynthia,

Autumn, and William Weller

The other need is for airfare and travel expenses for JJ and Cynthia. The kids fly for free on the way down, but they must purchase a ticket for Autumn for the return flight. She turns two while in Peru. Happy birthday to Autumn, our precious granddaughter! The cost of their flights is about $2,100. If anything extra comes in, that will help cover mission expenses while in Peru.
